What the website stores in your browser, how sign-in and language preferences work, and how to manage this information.
Invited-user sign-in uses a protective form cookie and WordPress session cookies. Your chosen language is stored separately in localStorage. Analytics and advertising trackers are not connected.
1. Cookies and other technologies
A cookie is a small record a browser stores and may later send with requests within the scope of its settings. Cookies can support a session, remember preferences or serve other purposes. The technology’s name does not, by itself, determine its purpose.
LocalStorage is a different browser storage mechanism. Its contents are not automatically sent to the server with every request; page code accesses them. PayForServices uses it for a language preference. This is not a session cookie or an account record.
2. Language preference record
- Record name
pfs-language- Technology
- LocalStorage for
https://payforservices.net. - Contents
ruoren. The record contains no unique visitor identifier.- Purpose
- Remember your chosen language in this browser. The preference is shared by Russian and English pages on the main domain.
- When created
- When you select RU / EN or choose “Оставить русский” / “Keep English” in a language suggestion. Automatic country-based selection does not itself create this record.
- Retention
- Until you or your browser remove it. No automatic expiry is set; closing a tab does not normally delete the record.
- Advertising use
- Not used for advertising targeting or to build an interest profile.
The preference belongs to a particular browser and browser profile. The website does not synchronise it between devices through an account. Private browsing and browser settings may limit persistence.
3. Managing your preference
- Open the RU / EN menu in the website header.
- Select “Use my location”, labelled “По стране” in Russian.
- Your saved choice will be removed. The website will select a language using connection country, then browser language, with English as the fallback.
You can also clear payforservices.net data in your browser’s settings. If your browser separates cookies from other site data, remove the website’s local data to delete pfs-language.
If localStorage is blocked, guides and language links remain available, but your preference may not persist for the next visit. Choosing a language manually again will recreate the record.
“Use my location” does not request GPS access and is not an opt-out from IP processing. Manually choosing RU / EN does not disable server-side country lookup either. These operations and storage of the result are explained in the privacy policy.
4. Accounts and administrative sessions
Accounts are available by invitation; public registration remains closed. You can read the catalogue and guides without signing in. Opening the sign-in page creates a protective cookie, while successful sign-in starts an account session.
- Guest form
__Host-pfs_guestbinds the sign-in form to the browser and helps protect it against forged requests. It contains a random value, lasts up to 1800 seconds (30 minutes), and is deleted after successful sign-in.- Guest-cookie settings
Secure,HttpOnly,SameSite=Strict,Path=/, with noDomainattribute. The cookie is sent over HTTPS, is unavailable to page JavaScript and is restricted to the current host.- WordPress authentication
- Cookies named
wordpress_logged_in_*andwordpress_sec_*confirm an active session. They use theSecureandHttpOnlyflags. They are session cookies, without a “Remember me” option. - Session lifetime
- The server-side lifetime is 12 hours. Signing out ends the current session. A password change ends the account’s previous sessions and creates a new session for the current sign-in.
Blocking cookies may prevent sign-in and confirmation of account actions; the catalogue and guides remain available. Deleting authentication cookies removes that browser’s saved access to a session, but does not delete the account or its products. “Use my location” removes only the language preference and does not sign you out.
The website does not save passwords or activation codes in localStorage. A code appears on the page only after its owner submits the form and confirms their current password. Server-side retention of single-use tokens and account data is explained in the privacy policy.
WordPress administrator sign-in is a separate administrative area. It is not required to read the website and differs from invited-user sign-in to the store account area.
5. File caching and server records
Your browser may cache images, fonts and other files to avoid downloading them again. That cache is separate from the language preference and is not used by the website as an advertising profile.
Server logs and country lookup caches are held outside your browser. Clearing cookies, localStorage or cached files on your device does not remove those records. Their purposes, recipients and retention are described in the data retention section.
6. Analytics, advertising and consent
The current public interface has no third-party web analytics, advertising pixels or social widgets. A consent panel for analytics and advertising cookies is not displayed because those technologies are not connected.
Saving a language preference does not give consent for advertising or other purposes. Continuing to browse is not used as consent to those technologies either. If they are introduced, this document and preference controls must reflect actual website practices and applicable legal requirements.
7. Document updates
The revision date appears at the top of this page. The policy is to be reviewed when stored records, their purposes or retention periods change.
General website rules appear in the terms of use. The privacy policy explains technical data processing.
